Using interpolation in SCSS media queries

I'm having trouble using a media query heading as interpolation. When I try to use it like this, I get an error

$token-screen-md: "@media only screen and (min-width: 48rem)";
#{$token-screen-md} {
  display: table-row;
  min-width: 100%;
}

Can someone please assist me in resolving this issue?

"Module build failed (from ./node_modules/sass-loader/dist/cjs.js): SassError: expected selector. @media only screen and (min-width: 48rem){"

Answer №1

$mobile: "only screen and (max-width : 767px)";
$tablet: "only screen and (min-width : 768px)";
$desktop: "only screen and (min-width : 1025px)";

@media #{$mobile} {
  /* styling for mobile screens */
}`
