Using !important in CSS doesn't appear to successfully override styles

When using the following CSS:

.page-id-5094 .bg-white-base .wrap-x .inside mini {
    max-width: auto !important;
}

I am facing an issue where the slider is not taking up the full width on my WordPress test page. You can view the test page at the link below. Can someone help me identify why the CSS is not having any effect?

Answer №1

this is some sample HTML code

<div class="container small">
</div>

when styling in CSS, it can be done like this

.page-id-5094 .bg-white-base .wrap-x .container.small {
    max-width: 100%;
}

or

.page-id-5094 .bg-white-base .wrap-x .small {
    max-width: 100%;
}

or

.page-id-5094 .bg-white-base .wrap-x .container {
    max-width: 100%;
}
