Unable to insert flag image into the <option> tag

Struggling to add a flag image to the options using any method (html,css)!

<select>
    <option value="rus" selected>Rus</option>
    <option value="Uzb" >Uzb</option>
    <option value="eng">Eng</option>
</select>

Answer №1

If you want to display flag images using CSS, you can include them in the Style section of your code. Here is an example:

<select>
  <option value="usa" style="background-image:url(usa.png);">USA</option>
  <option value="can" style="background-image:url(canada.png);">Canada</option>
  <option value="uk" style="background-image:url(uk.png);">UK</option>
</select>

Make sure you have the flag images available and replace the placeholder text with the actual image links like this:

background-image(your_flag_image_link)
.
