Transforming a dropdown menu to inline using CSS

Here is the current situation at the top, and below is what I'm aiming to achieve

I am trying to customize the language switcher on this WordPress-based website. My goal is to have both flags displayed next to each other in a single line without requiring users to hover first.

I've been struggling with this modification and can't seem to figure it out. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, please let me know! Maybe achieving this layout is not possible with CSS alone!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Answer №1

Implement the following modifications in your code by altering these classes.

 #custom-floater-ls.custom-floater-ls-flags {
    width: 100px;
    display: flex;
    justify-content: space-around;
    left: 75%;
 }

 #custom-floater-ls-current-language {
    display: none !important;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
 }

 #custom-floater-ls-language-list {
    display: flex !important;
 }

Answer №2

When analyzing the element in Chrome without any supplied code for reference, it appears that a few adjustments are needed: Start by removing the currently selected item trp-floater-ls-current-language (I achieved this by simply using display:none). Next, eliminate the set width of 50px within the class trp-language-switcher-container so that the container adjusts to the size of its contents. Lastly, ensure that the class trp-floater-ls-language-list is set to display: flex. I hope these suggestions align with what you are seeking.
