I'm having an issue with my code – the image is appearing below the input box instead of beside it. Can anyone spot the mistake?
<input type="text" name="test" />
<div style="float:left"><img src="test.jpg" /></div>
I'm having an issue with my code – the image is appearing below the input box instead of beside it. Can anyone spot the mistake?
<input type="text" name="test" />
<div style="float:left"><img src="test.jpg" /></div>
This is the preferred option.
<input type="text" name="test" style="float:left" />
<div><img src="test.jpg" /></div>
It functions equally well without the inclusion of <div>
Using the <div>
element as a block creates space before and after it. Consider using a <span>
element instead.
<span ><img src="test.jpg" /></span>
Your div is positioned to the left of its default placement in the HTML structure, causing it to appear on a new line under the input. To resolve this, consider floating the input element too.
