The Window.print() function may experience compatibility issues across different browsers

When attempting to utilize the Window.print() function, I encountered an issue where it works perfectly in Google Chrome but not in Mozilla Firefox. Attached are screenshots displaying the problem at hand. What could be causing this discrepancy? Furthermore, how can I remove the default header and footer from the printed page in Firefox while maintaining the desired functionality seen in Chrome?

Here is the HTML view of the report on the web:

Answer №1

Each browser has its own way of rendering content, leading to differences in appearance. For tips on customizing CSS print styles, check out this useful link.

If you're still encountering issues, feel free to share the problematic code snippet for further assistance.

Answer №2

If you're experiencing issues, consider implementing the following CSS changes to address them:

* {
    overflow: visible !important;
}

Furthermore, you might want to test using overflow-x specifically for the print media query instead of applying it broadly.

Answer №3

You may want to consider utilizing plugins that can help you convert your report into the correct format, such as PDFMake.js.
