The way Electron processes CSS differs from Chrome's rendering

When I press tab, I want to add an outline to elements, but I am having an unusual issue. In my app running on electron, the outline appears as a box instead of a circular shape.

I've carefully looked into the CSS rules applied in both scenarios, but I couldn't find any differences.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

Answer №1

The latest update in Chromium 94 introduced this feature.

Due to Electron using an older version of Chrome that does not yet support rounded outlines (i.e., outlines following the border-radius), consider using a box-shadow without blur as an alternative.
