The full screen background image will only fill the entire screen when the browser window is adjusted

The background image in this scenario only appears as a full screen image after the browser window has been resized. This issue seems to be specific to Firefox and Opera, but works fine in Safari. I have not tested it in IE yet. How can I ensure that the background becomes instantly full screen when the page loads? It should be noted that when the displayDiv div is removed, the background functions correctly. Thank you.
