The differences between xPages and HTML templates are evident in the varying sizes of their elements

When using a html template in an xPages application, I noticed that all elements appear slightly larger compared to a plain html page. Even when checking the values in Chrome debugger, they all seem to be the same.

Are you currently utilizing a theme for your project? If you are, my suggestion would be to build upon a blank template instead of starting with a pre-set theme like "webstandard." Starting from scratch will help avoid any potential conflicts caused by loading extra Dojo-related CSS elements. If you're not using a theme yet, I recommend selecting one and customizing it as mentioned previously.
