Steps to add the child theme CSS file to the bottom of the <head> section

I am trying to ensure that my child theme's CSS file is loaded after all other stylesheets in order to prevent it from being overridden. The current issue I am facing is that the builder I am using seems to have a bug with responsive design, causing my CSS file to be overwritten. As a result, I have been unable to find a solution online. Has anyone else experienced this problem before?

Answer №1

Utilizing priority can be the key here. By setting the priority to 99, our code will most likely be executed last. However, keep in mind that certain plugins may override this with a higher priority, although this is not common. I recommend testing this code to ensure it meets your needs.

function load_custom_styles(){
  wp_enqueue_style('customcss', get_template_directory_uri() . '/css/bootstrap.min.css');
}
add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'load_custom_styles', 99);
