Step by step guide on inserting a message (memo/sticky note) onto an HTML page

Wondering how to accomplish this: I've designed an HTML5 homepage and I'm looking to display a message to visitors, such as "Dear visitor, I am currently on vacation from....", in the form of a memo or sticky note positioned in the top right corner. Is there a sleek and seamless solution to overlay it on top of the existing UI? Open to other creative ideas. Thank you!

Answer №1

If you want to see a straightforward illustration, take a look at this jsfiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/zwk261w5/

To ensure your message appears at the top, remember that position: absolute; is essential.

Answer №2

position:absolute;
top:0;
right:0;
width:200p;
height:200px;
