spinning div content in a manner reminiscent of a roulette wheel

I am looking to create a roulette game that randomly selects numbers and displays them. Initially, I attempted to use images and backgroundOffset, but it caused significant lagging issues and difficulty in checking the rolled number. Therefore, I have implemented the following code:

<div class="container" style="display: flex">
    <div class="block red">1</div>
    <div class="block black">14</div>
    <div class="block red">2</div>
    <div class="block black">13</div>
    <div class="block red">3</div>
    <div class="block black">12</div>
    <div class="block red">4</div>
    <div class="block green">0</div>
    <div class="block black">11</div>
    <div class="block red">5</div>
    <div class="block black">10</div>
    <div class="block red">6</div>
    <div class="block black">9</div>
    <div class="block red">7</div>
    <div class="block black">8</div>

</div>

JSFIDDLE

Is there a way to make this roulette spin like the one shown here?

Utilizing the canvas API is the most effective method for animating objects, especially when creating games. Using <canvas> for drawing and animating objects provides better performance compared to using divs. With the canvas API, there are more tools available for easily redrawing and reanimating objects, allowing for a more visually appealing design without sacrificing performance.

Avoid using setInterval for complex animations. setInterval does not wait for the previous animation to end, potentially causing multiple intervals to run simultaneously on slower machines. Additionally, using setInterval does not provide full control over the animation process.

For HTML5 game development, the recommended approach for animating objects is to use the requestAnimationFrame() function. This method ensures smoother and more controlled animation sequences. You can learn more about requestAnimationFrame() here: https://developer.mozilla.org/pl/docs/Web/API/Window/requestAnimationFrame
