Show an Unordered List in a Horizontal Orientation

I'm having trouble getting my Subnav list to display horizontally. Can anyone offer a solution to this issue?

http://jsfiddle.net/nategines/9bued/10/

Answer №1

Implementing this is quite simple. The main technique involves utilizing the float property to align the li elements to the left:

li
    float: left

To improve the appearance, consider adding padding and eliminating the list-style:

ul
    list-style: none

li
    float: left
    list-style: none

Additional enhancements such as borders, margins, and padding can further refine the design.

Answer №2

The container for your list, known as #subtabs, currently has a width of 10em, which is equal to 160px - this matches the width of your list items. To resolve any issues, consider adjusting the width or removing it entirely.
