Positioning Text in CSS/JS Navigation

Looking for assistance on aligning the text in the menu located at:

  • 1st tab: I would like a line break after "Item".
  • 2nd and 3rd tabs: I am seeking a line break after "This is".

I have only included the section of the menu that requires adjustment, which may appear different due to its connection to JavaScript code. Unfortunately, the JavaScript cannot be removed.

Here is the solution I've come up with:

For your convenience, I have created a fiddle:

In order to achieve the desired result, use .html() instead of .text()

Here is the updated code snippet:

.html('<strong>' + $(this).find('a').html() + '</strong>')

Executing this code should solve the issue for you!

Please feel free to try it out.

Access the fiddle by clicking on the following link: http://jsfiddle.net/krunalp1993/yL6Tn/1/

I hope this information proves helpful to you! :)

Answer №2

When coding in JavaScript, make sure to include a line break within your .click method when setting the original text back inside strong tags using the .html function.

 .html('<strong>' + $(this).text() + '</strong>')
