Move your cursor over the toggle menu to reveal the concealed image

Is it feasible to have a hidden image (with ID 10) display when hovering over a toggle menu (with ID 9) in Wordpress? The current setup can be seen here: . I would like the ability to hover over the left toggle menu and reveal an image that is currently hidden behind the image on the right. If possible, please provide the CSS code as I am not well-versed in JavaScript. Thank you for any assistance provided!

Answer №1

To achieve this effect using only CSS, one option is to place the images inside pseudo-elements of the menu items. Here's an example to illustrate the concept:

.myMenuItems::after {
    width: 100px;
    height: 100px;
    background-image: url('yourimagepath');
    background-size: cover;
    opacity: 0;
}

#myMenuItem:hover::after {
    opacity: 1;
}

You could also opt for using a class and potentially positioning the image absolutely for more control.

If you're looking to overlay the images as mentioned, you can utilize the "z-index" CSS property instead of adjusting the "opacity".
