Issue with loading CSS in Magento transactional emails

I designed a custom email template specifically for order cancelations. The email is functioning properly, with the header and footer displaying correctly. However, the existing CSS is not being applied to the email template. While default headers and footers work well for other transaction emails, my custom email is experiencing this issue. Interestingly, when I preview the email from the admin section, everything appears fine. Can you please advise me on how to resolve this problem?

Answer №1

The reason may be that you have to inline your CSS styles. Some email platforms might remove the head and style tags entirely, while others may have limited support for them.

If you want to know which CSS properties are supported by different email clients, you can refer to this guide.
