Is there a way to adjust the width of the info panel in an SVG to automatically match the width of the SVG itself?

I am looking to place the information panel at the bottom of my SVG map and have it adjust its width according to the width specified in the viewBox. This way, even if I resize the map, the info panel will automatically adjust to fill completely based on the width of the SVG.

Answer №1

I have updated the code by eliminating the width and margin attributes in .map svg and transitioning them to .map. In addition, I connected .info_panel to .map rather than the body, and confirmed that the width property remains fixed at 100% for .info_panel. These changes ensure that the width of .info_panel is always in sync with the map's dimensions.

  • The mouseover and mouseleave events should be moved outside of the loop to avoid unnecessary repetition.
