Images obscure dropdown menu

The issue I am experiencing with my blog is that the dropdown menu is appearing behind the image slider on the main page. You can see it here:

Can anyone offer guidance on how to prevent this from happening so that the dropdown menu is not obscured?

Just to note, the dropdown menu does not rely on javascript and is purely based on css. Thank you for your help.

Answer №1

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

#menu-wrapper {
    position: relative;
    z-index: 40;
}

You can see the solution in action here:

Answer №2

To ensure proper layering, apply the CSS properties position:relative and z-index:9999 to the rule called #menu-wrapper
