I'm having trouble with the pull-right feature in Bootstrap -

I am having trouble with the bootstrap class pull-right. Despite applying it, my span is still floating to the left. I am unsure why the pull-right class is not functioning as expected.

Answer №1

Initially, your version utilizing 4.1.1 does not feature any class selector such as pull-right, rather it includes float-right. Furthermore, this issue arises with the container nav navbar-expand-md selector, which possesses CSS properties like justify-content:flex-start;. Therefore, it is irrelevant whether you use float: left/right;. To resolve this, you must override justify-content:flex-start; with justify-content:space-between; within the current Bootstrap-based markup structure. Below, I have included a snippet:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="cs">

<head>
  <meta charset="utf-8">
  <meta name="author" content="Vojtěch Matras">
  <title>Admin Express Blogs&Magazines</title>

  <style type="text/css">
    @media (min-width: 768px){
        .navbar-expand-md {
            justify-content:space-between;
        }
    }
  </style>
</head>

<body>
  <header>
    <nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md bg-dark navbar-dark">
      <span class="text-light">AdminPanel</span>
      <span class="text-light float-right">[@role][@nickname]</span>
    </nav>
  </header>
  <main>
  </main>
</body>
</html>

Answer №2

Try replacing class = "pull-right" with class="float-right" and see if it resolves the issue.

Answer №3

If you're having issues with the class "float-right", a simple solution is to include the

<div class="clearfix"></div>
element.
