I seem to be encountering an issue with the image tag while working with HTML code

I have been studying through freecodecamp.org and this is my first tribute project. Everything has been going well, but I am encountering an issue with the image tag. I need to submit my project online, so I have been trying to input image links from Google or other websites into the src/href section, but the images are not displaying on the webpage. It would be greatly appreciated if you could assist me with this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

I have attempted various links and solutions from different sources, but nothing seems to be working.

Answer №1

When it comes to finding the address of a link, most developers opt for relative addresses. To do this, simply right-click on the (img link src or background-image src) in the developer tools (crtl + shift + i) and select "open in new tab" to reveal the image link.

Answer №2

If you are working with HTML, it is important to note that in order to display a picture, you must include the image link in the src="" section rather than the href="". The href attribute is typically used for redirecting users when they click on an image.

<img src="your.google.picture.link" href="go.to.youtube.on.click">

I hope this information has been helpful to you! <3
