Having trouble with bootstrap carousel malfunctioning on Firefox browser?

I'm experiencing an issue with the carousel slider on my website. It seems to only be working in Chrome and not in Mozilla Firefox.

You can view the live site at:

Below is the code I have used for the carousel:

<header id="myCarousel" class="carousel slide">
        <!-- Indicators -->
        <ol class="carousel-indicators">
            <li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li>
            <li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="1"></li>
            <li data-target="#myCarousel" data-slide-to="2"></li>
        </ol>

        <!-- Wrapper for Slides -->
        <div class="carousel-inner">
            <div class="item active">
                <!-- Set the first background image using inline CSS below. -->
                <div class="fill" style="background:url(images/slider1.jpg);"></div>

            </div>
            <div class="item">
                <!-- Set the second background image using inline CSS below. -->
                <div class="fill" style="background:url(images/slider2.jpg);"></div>

            </div>
         <!--   <div class="item">
                <div class="fill" style="background:url(images/slider1.jpg);"></div>

            </div>-->
        </div>

        <!-- Controls -->
        <a class="left carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="prev">
            <span class="icon-prev"></span>
        </a>
        <a class="right carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" data-slide="next">
            <span class="icon-next"></span>
        </a>

    </header>

Answer №1

The issue lies with the container heights. The .fill class does not have a fixed height, causing the .carousel-inner element with height: auto to have a height of 0. This issue is not limited to IE and may also occur on other browsers. To resolve this, you should add the following CSS:

.carousel-inner{
     height: 100%;
}

Answer №2

To address the issue I encountered, I successfully resolved it by eliminating (or disabling) the following bootstrap.css statements:

-webkit-perspective: 1000px;
    perspective: 1000px;

contained within the class .carousel-inner > .item
