Guide to customizing color themes using Twitter Bootstrap 3

Recently, I dove into the world of Twitter Bootstrap 3 without any prior experience with earlier versions. It's been a learning curve, but I managed to set up a WordPress theme using it as the framework.

All my elements are in place, but they all seem to be following a blue color scheme for text shadowing and background colors. I want to switch everything over to a "dark style" similar to the inverted navigation bar colors.

Is there a simple way to achieve this, or am I going to have to manually override a lot of CSS? Are there any pre-made color schemes or themes available for Twitter Bootstrap 3 that can help me change the default blue color palette?

Generate unique bootstrap themes by utilizing PaintStrap's color schemes. For creating layouts, consider using Layoutit! or BootTheme.
