excess padding in the Twitter Bootstrap

While working with Twitter Bootstrap, I stumbled upon an unusual issue where everything looked fine on desktop screens but appeared differently on Samsung Galaxy S5 or displays of similar sizes (360 x 640 or 640 x 360 in this case). There was a strange right margin that I couldn't seem to eliminate. https://i.sstatic.net/BNMAc.png

Interestingly, the body element scaled correctly.

This screen capture was taken in the Chrome browser. You can check out the live code at:

Answer №1

To prevent overflow, consider adding 'overflow:hidden' to the body tag. However, in my opinion, it's more effective to address the root cause of the issue which lies within the 'row' class. Changing it to 'col-xs-12' may alter your style slightly, but it is the correct approach to fixing the problem.

Answer №2

Make sure to include the col-lg-12 class in your div, but also add the col-md-12 and col-sm-12 classes for compatibility across different screen sizes. By doing so, you can effectively address any layout issues.
