Enter the Kannada language into the HTML text box or input field

My html form consists of about 15 - 20 input and textarea fields. As a user, how can I enter information in Kannda or any other local language?

  • In order to type in Kannada directly on WordPress sites, users need to have Baraha Direct / BarahaIME installed.
  • Consider using the "Kannada Comment" wordpress plugin or a similar technique for typing in Kannada on your application as well.

Thinking outside of Wordpress:
If you're looking to cater to multiple languages, consider creating separate pages for each language and follow these steps:
a: Make sure to specify the correct charset in the document header like <meta charset="Shift_JIS"> = HalfWidthKatakana. You can find declarations for other charsets at this link
b: Declare the specific language in the html tag using <html lang="kn">.
