Ensure that every line of code within the button element contains all the required attributes

Struggling to get the underline on every section of my button. Attempted utilizing the -webkit-box-decoration-break property, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful.

https://i.sstatic.net/jsGeQ.png

It is necessary for both the initial line (New Delhi,) and final line (India) to have an underline. Despite attributing it to a box break, applying the box-decoration-break property proved ineffective. Any advice on what I may be doing incorrectly?

Answer №1

To achieve an underline effect on text, utilize the CSS property text-decoration: underline. Visualize the text as a box within a button, with the line following the perimeter of the rectangle. Even if the text wraps within the box due to width constraints, the underline will continue at the bottom as the box expands vertically. For more information, refer to this CSS text-decoration documentation from Mozilla or explore the details provided in this CSS border documentation by Mozilla.

Answer №2

To enhance the appearance, consider including

border-bottom : 1px solid #cccccc;
. If it seems cramped against your element (such as a button), adding padding-bottom: 5px can help alleviate this problem.
