Enhancing the appearance of React Native components by incorporating borderColor results in the emergence of

In my current React Native project, there is a profile component that includes the following design:

https://i.sstatic.net/URrN6.png

The profile container is styled with a backgroundColor of '#fff', and the pencil icon has a borderColor of '#fff'.

However, it is noticeable that the white border of the pencil icon does not perfectly blend with the background color, resulting in some minor artifacting around the edges.

Would anyone happen to have any insights on how I can ensure that the border of the pencil icon matches the background color precisely? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or solutions!

Answer №1

The issue of aliasing arises from the coexistence of backgroundColor: #444 and borderColor: '#fff' within the same element. Eliminating the background color results in the border color appearing as a pristine white.
