Enhanced border appears when hovering over the element

Take a moment to visit the following website: Navigate to the Business Lines section and hover over Property Development & Project Management.

Notice how the menu changes to double line when hovering.

Is there a way to prevent this? I prefer to keep it in a single line.

Answer №1

The issue could be attributed to the font-weight:bold being applied, causing an expansion in text width and leading to a line break. To address this, consider adjusting the menu width, reducing text size, or avoiding bold styling during hover effects.

Answer №2

The occurrence is due to the alteration of the font style to bold, resulting in the text expanding beyond the boundaries of the menu.

Adjust the width of the ul styled with the class "sub-menu" to be 24.5em.

Answer №3

Yes, I have identified the problem. You will need to either increase the width assigned to the sub menu or shorten the text in the heading "Property Development & Project Management" to something smaller.
