Display or conceal a div depending on whether the user is on a mobile or desktop browser

In order to optimize the display on different devices, I organized my content into two divisions. The left division contains quantity, price, and item name, while the right division includes product names.

For mobile browsers, I would like to hide the product names division and only display the left division. On desktop browsers, both divisions should be visible.

If you're utilizing Bootstrap, you have the option to utilize its responsive classes for displaying or hiding various elements on Mobile/Desktop. Check out the resources here:

http://getbootstrap.com/css/#responsive-utilities

If you're not using Bootstrap or any other library with pre-built help classes, you'll need to create your own media query. Here's an example:

CSS:

@media screen and (min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1024px) {
  .price, .left-div { display: none; }
}

HTML:

<div class="container">
  <div class="left-div"> TEXT TEXT</div>
  <div class="price"> $49</div>
</div>

Answer №2

To achieve this, simply utilize a media query

@media (max-width:767px){
    .element{visibility:hidden;}
}
