Disabling the movement of arrows in the client-testimonials-carousel plugin

This plugin that I'm currently using is working flawlessly:

However, I'm unsure about how to make the arrows stationary and prevent them from moving. Currently, they are centering themselves based on the height of the div, but I want them to remain fixed in their position instead. If someone could demonstrate the changes they made so that I can also understand, that would be greatly appreciated!

To make changes to the appearance of this element, you will need to adjust the following CSS:

.flex-direction-nav li a::before, .flex-direction-nav li a::after {
    background-color: white;
    content: "";
    height: 13px;
    left: 50%;
    position: absolute;
    top: 50%;
    width: 2px;
}

You can modify the top: 50%; as needed. For instance, you could change it to top: 200px.

The top: 50% value takes into account the height of the parent element and positions the element 50% down from the top. To override this behavior, you can specify a fixed value.

If you are unable to directly edit the CSS within your plugin, you can create a separate CSS file and add the following code to it:

.flex-direction-nav li a::before, .flex-direction-nav li a::after {
    top: 200px;
}

Answer №2

Have you thought about using moving arrows instead of fixed positioning? The reason being that a centered version may be more visually appealing than a fixed top position. For example, if you set the top position to 100px, it may look great for a testimonial with a 220px high block because it's roughly central. However, it may not look as good if the testimonial block is only 130px high and the arrow is near the bottom.

Take a look at how single-line and 7-line testimonials appear with a fixed position to see if it feels right to you.

Overall, your website is looking nice - keep up the good work!
