CSS Dropping Down Menu Design

Hello everyone! I am taking my first step into web development and currently in the process of revamping my DJ website.

I am working on creating a dropdown div within the top-left menu that will display information about the next event I'll be DJing at when clicking the Events tab.

I've experimented with different approaches but haven't been successful so far.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Include the following code in your CSS file. When you hover over the list item, the .test div will be visible.

.menu.top nav .test {display: none;}    
.menu.top nav li:hover .test {display: block;}
