Creating a sleek and professional website using HTML/CSS with SharePoint 201

Having an issue with inputting html codes in SharePoint 2010.

When I copy and paste code from another site page to recreate the same page, it ends up looking different after execution. This is particularly noticeable for the top nav panels and web parts using CSS - they appear white or blank until highlighted. Any solutions to this problem?

Any suggestions on how to resolve this inconsistency when pasting copied html code into SharePoint 2010?

Answer №1

To truly customize your website, it's best to build the HTML/CSS from scratch rather than just copying and pasting code. This way, you can avoid unintentionally overriding default styles provided by the platform and instead create unique classes tailored to your needs.
