Creating a border around a div element using JavaScript

Is there a way to set a border for a div box using JavaScript similar to using border:2px solid #000; in CSS?

Can this be done within the following for loop?

elements = document.getElementsByClassName("box");
for (var i = 0; i < elements.length; i++) {
    elements[i].style.backgroundColor="#ff33ff";
}

Answer №1

let boxes = document.getElementsByClassName("box");
for (let i = 0; i < boxes.length; i++) {
    boxes[i].style.backgroundColor="#ff33ff";
    boxes[i].style.border = "2px solid #000";
}

Give this code a try. I believe it will assist you.
