Content not aligned in the center of the page on Internet Explorer

Recently, I've taken on the responsibility of managing the content for this website after it was passed down from the previous developer.

Each page's content is contained within a div element with the class "ct", which has auto margins applied to center the page.

However, there seems to be an issue on this particular page where the content is not centered properly in various versions of Internet Explorer (up to and including version 9).

All other browsers display the content correctly without any alignment problems.

I have carefully reviewed the code and even validated the page through the W3C Validator, but no markup errors were found that could be causing this issue.

It appears that this specific page follows the same structure as the others. Please note that I did not create this site and the markup is not my own.

Understanding quirks mode is key here.

If you press F12, you'll notice it's being displayed in quirks mode.

To disable quirks mode, ensure a valid doctype is set and the content will be centered.

The code snippet shown here was executed without specifying a doctype, hence causing issues. Remember to define the doctype as the first line.
