Are the elements in Chrome overlapping due to the box model?

I'm currently experiencing a problem of cross-browser compatibility between Chrome and Firefox.

Upon inspecting the webpage in Chrome, it's evident that the box for the #content DIV is overlapping with the box for the H3.

When viewed in Firefox, however, the #content DIV does not overlap:

The inconsistency in overlap is affecting the background behind the Doctors' heads (the light blue canvas texture), which is a relatively positioned DIV. In Chrome, it appears positioned correctly, but in Firefox, the green "view all button" extends beyond the background.

Answer №1

To my observation, it appears that both elements are located at the same position, but Chrome is displaying the area differently in its inspector compared to Firefox. This discrepancy doesn't seem to be a problem at all.

Answer №2

By addressing some of the Validation Errors on your website, you may find that the issue resolves itself. One particular issue that stood out to me was the presence of multiple errors related to duplicate IDs:

Error: Duplicate ID

Make sure to double-check IDs like #wrapper, #mainBox, and others.

Answer №3

After examining line 72 of the CSS, I decided to remove the following code:

 p{
 margin-bottom:12px;
 }

Surprisingly, this adjustment resolved the issue with the placement of the green "View All" button. However, you may need to reintroduce the margins in a more targeted manner to specific elements as needed.
