Aligning text of different sizes vertically in CSS

Struggling with a text line that contains multiple font sizes? Want all the text to align with the middle of the .line1 element? I tried using vertical-align:middle, but it's not working as expected. Check out the code on JSfiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/tWxdT/

Answer №1

Remove all vertical-align properties from the css. Then, set vertical-align:baseline for product_mark_bg

Answer №2

In my opinion, it appears satisfactory in Google Chrome too. Nevertheless, I suggest incorporating display: table-cell; in your CSS. If that doesn't work, consider eliminating Vertical-Align and experimenting with evenly distributed padding on the Top and Bottom of your HTML tags.

Answer №3

To achieve improved alignment of text with varying sizes, adjusting the line-height can be a helpful solution. While it may not be the exact solution you seek, experimenting with a line-height of 2.2em in the provided example resulted in a slight change in text centering.
