Adjusting the dimensions of :before with JavaScript: A Step-by-Step Guide

There's this CSS3 tag named body:before that I'm working with, and I'm looking to adjust the height and width of body:before using JavaScript.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Answer №1

It is impossible to achieve. One alternative is to implement a class or ID like so:

.newClass::before {
    /*Custom styles go here*/
}

Afterward, you can assign the newClass to the desired elements by changing the className property:

elementToUpdate.className = "newClass";
