Adapt to every screen size for optimal fit

Can someone please help me with adjusting the height of each section to fit every screen size? I attempted using Height: 100% but it was not successful. This is for a parallax website, and I specifically need assistance with the homepage layout shown below. Any advice or guidance on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! :)

Answer №1

Did you give this a shot?

.pageBackground {
 height:100vh;
 width:100vw;
}

Answer №2

To achieve a 100% height for your div, you must also set the height of your html and body elements to 100%. See the following example for guidance:

HTML

<div class="demo"></div>

CSS

html, body {
  height: 100%;
  width: 100%;
}
.demo {
  background: #000;
  height: 100%;
  width: 100%;
}
