What is the best way to position sharing buttons slightly to the right?

Looking at the page, it's noticeable that the share buttons are positioned all the way to the left and don't align well with the layout. It looks a bit off.

I'm interested in shifting the share buttons slightly to the right so they better match the alignment of the content layout.

Answer №1

To ensure proper alignment, make sure to enclose the sharing buttons within a P element just like the blog content. If your browser permits, you can right-click on any part of the page and select "Inspect" or "Inspect element". This will allow you to observe the layout in action and identify any differences between the two sections.

For Chrome users, follow these steps for Inspect Element:

Select elements in the inspector to view their styling and arrangement:

Note the structural variation of the share bar (enclosed in a div element with distinct classes instead of a P element):

If you wish to troubleshoot this issue independently, it seems beneficial to enhance your knowledge of CSS, Styles, HTML, and margin/padding properties.

Answer №2

To effectively implement CSS changes in the browser, it is essential to familiarize yourself with using the developer tools, as noted by @whiterook6.

If you are experiencing issues, try incorporating the following code snippet into your CSS file:

.the_champ_sharing_container.the_champ_horizontal_sharing {
    margin-left: 26%;
}

This code targets the social sharing div class

.the_champ_sharing_container.the_champ_horizontal_sharing
, which should be visible in the devtool inspection tool.
