What is the best way to combine node-sass and sass-autoprefixer in a project?

I'm struggling to implement the code in my package.json.

Here is the code snippet:

{
  "name": "nodesass",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "description": "",
  "main": "index.js",
  "dependencies": {
    "node-sass": "^4.11.0"
  },
  "devDependencies":
    "sass-autoprefixer": "^1.0.1"
  },
  "scripts": {
    "sass": "node-sass -w scss/ -o dist/css/ --recursive --use sass-autoprefixer",
  },
  "keywords": [],
  "author": "",
  "license": "ISC"
}

The issue I'm facing is that autoprefixer is not working as expected.

To utilize this tool, you won't be executing it from the Command Line Interface; instead, incorporate it into your .scss files.

Begin by importing the necessary file within your .scss files:

@import "../path/to/node_modules/sass-autoprefixer/scss/prefixes";

You can then make use of the [sass-autoprefixer][1] mixins in defining your classes:

.your-class {
  // Prefix with 'vp-' followed by the CSS property needing automatic prefixing and provide the value of the CSS property as the mixin parameter.
  @include vp-flex-flow(row wrap);
}

Upon compilation, the above .scss code will produce the following .css output:

.your-class {
  -webkit-flex-flow: row wrap;
  -moz-flex-flow: row wrap;
  -ms-flex-flow: row wrap;
  flex-flow: row wrap;
}

This same approach is transferable to any properties supported by the package. For instance:

.your-class {
  // Auto-prefixes for `display: flex;`
  @include vp-display(flex);
  // Auto-prefixes for `transform: skewX(50deg);`
  @include vp-transform(skewX(50deg));
}
