What is causing the bootstrap nav-bar to not open on smaller screens?

This nav-bar functions properly on screens larger than 640px, but on smaller screens, the menu button does not display the menu items when clicked. You can view the site here.

<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse">
    <div class="container-fluid">
        <div class="navbar-header">
            <button type="button" class="navbar-toggle" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#BHC-Navbar">
                <span class="icon-bar"></span>
                <span class="icon-bar"></span>
                <span class="icon-bar"></span>
                <span class="icon-bar"></span>
                <span class="icon-bar"></span>
            </button>
            <a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Bunker Hill</a>
        </div>
        <div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="BHC-Navbar">
            <ul class="nav navbar-nav">
                <li class="active"><a href="#"><i class="glyphicon glyphicon-home"></i> Home</a></li>
                <li><a href="#services" class="glyphicon glyphicon-info-sign"> Services</a></li>
                <li><a href="#clients" class="glyphicon glyphicon-info-sign"> Clients</a></li>
                <li><a href="#about" class="glyphicon glyphicon-info-sign"> About</a></li>
                <li><a href="#contact"><i class="glyphicon glyphicon-envelope"></i> Contact</a></li>
            </ul>
        </div>
    </div>
</nav>

Answer №1

To resolve the issue, make sure to include the bootstrap.min.js file in your project. Here is an example of how you can add it:

<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>

Additional Note:

Prior to loading the Bootstrap JavaScript file, ensure that you have included the jQuery library.

Answer №2

Ensure that you include the bootstrap.js or bootstrap.min.js scripts in your code. Once you add those scripts, your webpage should be fully functional.
