What can I do to keep my navbar on top of the slideshow?

Is there a way to create a responsive navbar that sits in front of a slideshow containing images?

I attempted to place the div within the main, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful.

Answer №1

For future reference, it's best to include your images and code directly in your question for easier assistance. To address your issue, you'll need to define a z-index in your CSS. This will determine the foreground-background layering on your website. Remember to also specify a position in your CSS. Here's an example:

nav {
    position: relative;
    z-index: 1;
}
