What advantages and disadvantages come with choosing between using vh and vw for responsive text?

My main inquiry is centered around the various techniques for creating responsive text. Is there a particular method that stands out as the best option for general use, or do different methods serve distinct purposes?

Answer №1

As the comments suggest, using vh and vw units for font size will adjust the font relative to viewport height and width.

To see this in action, simply resize the lower right pane (output) window on this fiddle.

Answer №2

To achieve responsive font sizes, consider using a blend of viewport units and @media queries. Test the flexibility by adjusting the size after expanding the snippet.

p {
  font-size: 2vw;
}
<p>
