Ways to enable file/result downloads on a website using HTML

Could you please take a look at this repository: https://github.com/imsikka/ArtGallery

I am looking to create a downloadable result using a download button. I can create the button, but I am unsure of how to make the file actually downloadable. Do I need to link the button with a specific piece of code or something else?

I have tried searching online for solutions, but haven't found anything particularly helpful so far.

Answer №1

If you're looking to download certain information, consider uploading it to a file sharing site and then linking to the download button.

This method might just be the solution you need!

Just some info: To create a button link to another page in HTML, you can use the tag, tag, and the tag. The link on a button is achieved with the href="" attribute of the tag. To further customize the button link, attributes like "type=button" and "onclick=link" can be used.
