Unique color selection for progress bars in Bootstrap Vue

Can the color of a progress bar be customized to any specific value in hexadecimal format?

The preset colors like 'success' or 'danger' are not meeting our requirements, so I need to define my own color for the progress bar using a hex code such as #01A688.

I have attempted to modify it through CSS without success.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Answer №1

If you want to customize the background color of the progress bar, you just need to add a more specific rule to target it.

body{padding: 4rem;}

.progress .progress-bar{background: #01A688;}
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://stackpath.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.1.3/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-MCw98/SFnGE8fJT3GXwEOngsV7Zt27NXFoaoApmYm81iuXoPkFOJwJ8ERdknLPMO" crossorigin="anonymous">

<div class="progress">
  <div class="progress-bar" role="progressbar" style="width: 25%" aria-valuenow="25" aria-valuemin="0" aria-valuemax="100"></div>
</div>

Answer №2

If you happen to be utilizing bootstrap-vue, there is another way you can achieve this:

<b-progress class="">
    <b-progress-bar :style="{ 'background-color': '#01A688' }" :value="25"></b-progress-bar>
</b-progress>

Answer №3

After experimenting, I found success by adding the .progress-bar styling to my global CSS file instead of the scoped one. Specifically, I inserted the code below into _style.css:

.progress-bar {
  background-color: lemonade;
}
