"Troubleshooting the Touch Functionality on Bootstrap Carousel for Mobile

Sections of my responsive website utilize a bootstrap carousel to cycle through text and images. However, during testing, it was discovered that users on iPads were unable to swipe up and down to view more content on the site. It seems that swipe compatibility only works left and right, preventing vertical scrolling.

Is there a way to disable vertical swiping so that users can easily scroll up and down with their finger on touch screens when the site occupies 100% of the mobile page size?

If you visit the site, specifically the Services section, you'll be able to see the issue I'm referring to.

To resolve the issue, modify a single parameter in jquery.elastislide.js at line 13:

Change
preventDefaultEvents: true

to
preventDefaultEvents: false
