Trouble getting CSS and JavaScript to function properly with HTTPS?

It seems that the css and js files are functioning properly on , but not on . As a novice in web design and javascript, I am struggling to find a solution to this issue. Trying to link the CSS file with "//isdhh.org/css/style.css" has not resolved the problem for me. The concept of protocol relative URL mentioned in various online resources is also quite confusing to grasp.

It is not advised for a page served in https to load resources from http. Within your page, there are multiple http resources, including:

<link rel="stylesheet" ref="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">

Please update all http references to https and test the page again.

Answer №2

It is important to serve all CSS, JS, and image files with https:// for security reasons. Your Bootstrap files are currently not being served securely.

Please ensure that you remove the http: from these links as well:

Answer №3

After reviewing the browser console, it appears that you attempted to access bootstrap.min.css and bootstrap.min.js through http instead of https

Answer №4

After successfully making the switch from http to https in bootstrap css and js files, I am grateful for everyone who helped troubleshoot this issue. While deleting http/https protocols did not solve the problem of linking bootstrap files, I now have two websites—one with http and the other with https. How can I ensure that the browser only displays the secure version (https)? Thank you for your assistance!
