To access the dropdown submenu on the Bootstrap nav bar via mobile, a prolonged tap is required rather than a single tap for it to work properly

Hey there, need your help with something interesting! If you head over to and look at the third link in the nav bar, you'll see a dropdown with a submenu. Everything works smoothly on a PC - just hover your mouse and it opens up. But when you try it on a mobile device, clicking the dropdown closes it instead of opening it. You have to tap and hold for it to work. Any ideas why this happens? Suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

The issue arises from the use of :hover in the bootstrap dropdown class. The solution is to switch to using jquery hide&show along with jquery-mobile for creating a mobile-friendly dropdown menu when clicked. Check out this link for more information: here

I hope this resolves your problem!
