Tips on effortlessly updating the URL of your website

Despite seeing the question asked multiple times, I still find myself struggling to understand how to modify a URL or create a new HTML page that seamlessly integrates into a website without redirecting users.

I am curious about achieving the functionality showcased on this particular site:

Does this site load all content and simply change what is visible using Javascript? Perhaps they utilize Angular states? I am unable to grasp how to replicate that seamless transition effect between different sections on websites.

Answer №1

After analyzing the source code of the website, it appears that they are not using Angular. However, integrating Angular could be beneficial. In particular, I suggest implementing ui router to manage multiple views within the page effectively.

The key to dynamically loading HTML is through utilizing ajax to fetch data in real-time and updating the document object model using JavaScript.

Upon reviewing the website you mentioned, it seems they have utilized CSS for making the page responsive and preventing scrolling until a link is clicked. Once a link is clicked, it seems that the content loads outside the viewport, only becoming visible upon scrolling.

In essence, my recommendation is to delve deeper into understanding ajax loading and CSS DOM manipulations. For those familiar with Angular, exploring ui router can facilitate the seamless establishment of multiple views on a single page.
