Tips for stopping the mobile keyboard from resizing the viewport

Currently, I am working on a project using React. However, I am facing an issue where the mobile keyboard automatically resizes to fill the viewport when I click on an input field. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Additionally, upon opening my deployed project, I noticed that the login and signup images do not move smoothly for the first time they are loaded. I would appreciate it if you could take a look at my project and provide me with some feedback.

Answer №1

The reason for this behavior is likely due to the font size being set lower than 16px on your input elements. When the font size is below 16px, most mobile browsers will automatically zoom in on the viewport when an input or textarea field is focused.

input, select, textarea {
  font-size: 16px;
}

To prevent this automatic zooming, simply ensure that your input elements have a font size of at least 16px. If your website or application is responsive, you may want to include these styles within a media query specifically for mobile devices to maintain consistent styling across different screen sizes.
