Tips for adjusting text color in HTML when working with a background image

Help! I'm struggling with changing the color of a specific part of text on my website. The background picture is a mix of red and blue, and I want to create a title that appears red on the blue portion of the background and blue on the red portion. Any suggestions on how to achieve this effect?
